That she was chsen made us very happy.
What caused the accident is a cmplete mystery.

It is a pity that she has made such a mistake.
It depends n the climate whether they are ging shpping tday.
1. It is + adj. / n. +從句
It is a pity/shame that...
It is pssible that...
It is unlikely that...
It seems/appears that...
It happened that...
3. It + be +過去分詞+從句
It is said that... 據(jù)說……
It is knwn t all that...
It is reprted that... 據(jù)報道……
It is believed that...
It is suggested that...
It must be pinted ut that...

It is knwn t all that Taiwan is an inseparable part f China.
1. 引導詞that和what
what在從句中作句子成分(主語、賓語、表語等)。常譯成"所……的(東西、事情、話等.)";
What is dne can’t be undne.
What we can’t get seems better than what we have.
That we shuld wrk ut a plan t deal with the present serius situatin is imprtant.
That a new teacher will cme t teach us gegraphy is true.
2. 引導詞if和whether
Whether she will g hme r nt is unknwn.
Whether we shall raise ducks r geese remains t be decided.
=It remains t be decided whether/if we shall raise ducks r geese.
If we shall raise ducks r geese remains t be decided.
It is clear wh is afraid f having a change in land wnership.
It is nt yet decided which cash crp will be prduced next year.
When we’ll start tmrrw will be tld sn.
Where we can buy xen is smething we need t find ut.
It be + adj./n.
It is surprising that Mary shuld have wn first place.
It is Mary that has wn first place.
第二句是強調(diào)句型,其中的It is和that可以去掉,因為沒有It is和that句子仍然很通順。
1. Des _______ matter if he can’t finish the jb n time?
A. this B. that C. he D. it

Feeding n ur thirst fr perfectin, sme cllege and career industries have been set up claiming t help us reach ur gals.(為了滿足我們對完美的渴望,建立起來一些大學和職業(yè),它們聲稱可幫助我們達到目標)。
根據(jù)第四段“we need t priritize(優(yōu)先選擇)what we want t d and cut ut the activities we cannt d. If yu enjy debating, take a law class and see hw it suits yu. If yu enjy cking, experiment in the kitchen and see what yu can make!”
第一段“We have a strange bsessin with the cncept f perfectin. … Under cultural influence, we seek what we can’t have withut remembering that we dn’t actually need t be perfect. Imperfectin allws us t be human.”

A. put放入;B. settled定居,解決;C. laid 放置; D. tk拿起,接受。
A. picked up拾起,撿起;B. given up放棄;C. made up構(gòu)成,化裝;D. brught up教育,培養(yǎng),長大。
A. belw在……
A. air空氣,天空;B. distance距離;C. beginning 開始;D. tp頂部。
