(Teaching material analysis)
In the grammar sectin, students will be guided t review tenses by deciding right tenses used in different sentences. Besides, ding different frms f exercises using different tenses aims t strengthen students' understanding and applicatin f this grammatical item.
The vcabulary learning mainly fcuses n expressins abut chices and decisins. A cnversatin will teach students hw t express their chices and decisins. In additin, students will develp their listening ability by listening t the interview abut chsing the jb. At the same time, thrugh the cmprehensive training f skills in real cntext, students can deepen their understanding f unit tpics and imprve the ability f language use.

1. Guide the students t crrectly decide and use different tenses accrding t the cntext.
2. Guide the students t learn mre phrases abut chices and decisins and skillfully use them t express themselves.
3. Help the students develp their listening ability. In listening, the students are expected t understand the main idea f the listening material and learn t plitely put frward questins and give sme reasns.

1. Guide the students t crrectly use prper tenses in the real cntext.
2. Lead the students t talk abut their chices and decisins and make cmmunicatin with partners.
3. Help the students develp the listening ability t get the main idea f the cnversatin as well as facts r pinins frm cnversatin given.
(Teaching prcedure)
Step 1 Review different tenses
Activity 1 Review the definitins and the structures f the frequently-used tense.
1. Have students skillfully present the right structures f cmmn tenses n the blackbard.
2. Ask the students t read the example sentences and decide the prper tense used in each sentence.
3. Guide students hw t skillfully decide prper tense in real cntexts.
Step 2 Practice
Activity 2 Students read the passage individually and fill in the blanks with the crrect frm f the verbs in brackets.
Activity 3 Wrk in pairs
1. Have students read David’s prfile and knw mre details abut David.
2. Talk in pairs abut David’s life using apprpriate tenses.
Reference fr the talk:
David was brn 20th June, 2001 in Britain. He studied in Carsn Primary Schl frm 2007 t 2013 and in Wild-wd High Schl frm 2013 t 2019. He is an excellent persn and has his persnal experience. Fr example, he wn the first prize fr schl science prject in September 2017. And he participated in an exchange prgram in China frm April t Octber in 2018. He chse t spend his gap year in Cambdia in July 2019 and has been there up t nw. He has already made his future plans. He will cntinue his undergraduate study at Newcastle University. After graduatin, he will wrk as a chemical engineer and d sme vluntary wrk t help peple in need.
