增分句式(五) 言簡意賅的非謂語動詞在寫作中,如果出現(xiàn)太多的簡單句,會讓人覺得單調(diào)乏味,水平不高;而如果出現(xiàn)太多的復合句會讓人覺得讀起來費勁。所以適當?shù)厥褂梅侵^語動詞對簡單句和復合句進行轉(zhuǎn)換,不但顯得句式豐富,而且提升了文章的檔次。1.運用非謂語動詞轉(zhuǎn)換簡單句運用非謂語動詞轉(zhuǎn)換簡單句可采用“三步法”。
第一步:寫出兩個簡單句。(1)I felt quite srry fr that.(2)I began t think abut what t d t help.第二步:根據(jù)兩個簡單句的意思找出兩個句子的對接點,讓一個簡單句作為主句,另一個簡單句用非謂語動詞進行改寫。讓句(2)作為主句,用非謂語動詞改寫句(1)。第三步:根據(jù)主句主語和動詞之間的關系來確定用何種非謂語動詞。
主句的主語是I,與動詞felt之間是邏輯上的主謂關系,故用現(xiàn)在分詞作狀語。Feeling quite srry fr that,I began t think abut what t d t help.常用轉(zhuǎn)換的其他例子:(1)農(nóng)場位于我們學校附近的山腳下,被綠樹環(huán)繞。 (2020·全國卷Ⅱ書面表達)The farm is surrunded by green trees. (2)首先,我從小就接觸過外教,可以用英語自由地與他人交流。(2019·全國卷Ⅰ書面表達)First f all,I have been expsed t freign teachers since a yung age.I can cmmunicate freely with thers in English.→First f all,having been expsed t freign teachers since a yung age,I can cmmunicate freely with thers in English.(現(xiàn)在分詞作原因狀語)

2.用非謂語動詞轉(zhuǎn)換復合句,使語言簡練相對于用非謂語動詞轉(zhuǎn)化簡單句,轉(zhuǎn)化復合句相對要簡單一些,只需要兩步。因為需要轉(zhuǎn)化的一般是從句部分,只要根據(jù)主句的主語和從句謂語動詞的邏輯關系判斷用哪種非謂語動詞,再確定好時態(tài)語態(tài)即可。第一步:寫出復合句。After we had practiced playing basketball fr almst tw mnths,we strngly desired t be the winner.
第二步:把after引導的時間狀語從句轉(zhuǎn)換為非謂語動詞,practice與we之間為主謂關系,且表示完成,故用動詞-ing形式的完成式作狀語。Having practiced playing basketball fr almst tw mnths,we strngly desired t be the winner.轉(zhuǎn)換的幾個其他例子:(1)從每個班選出的學生參加了比賽。 (2020·新全國卷Ⅰ書面表達)The students wh were selected frm every class tk part in the cmpetitin.→ The students selected frm every class tk part in the cmpetitin. (過去分詞作后置定語)
(2)因為不知道如何解這個難題,他求助老師。Because he didn’t knw hw t wrk ut the difficult prblem,he asked the teacher fr help.→Nt knwing hw t wrk ut the difficult prblem,he asked the teacher fr help.(現(xiàn)在分詞作原因狀語)(3)由于老師的幫助,我的英語進步很大。因為我的英語進步很大,我確信我能考上更好的大學。

Because my English has greatly imprved,I’m sure I will g t a better university.→With my teacher helping me,my English has greatly imprved.Because f this,I’m sure I will g t a better university.簡析:“原句”兩處重復出現(xiàn)由because引導的從句,讀起來很別扭。換用“with+現(xiàn)在分詞的復合結(jié)構(gòu)”及“because f...”后,讀起來給人的感覺大不一樣。
(4)因為天熱,我們?nèi)ビ斡玖?。As it was ht,we went swimming.→It being ht,we went swimming.(5)如果天氣允許的話,我會去那兒。If weather permits,I will g there.→Weather permitting,I will g there.
3.注意在寫作中非謂語動詞的常用句型(1)remain t be dne有待于被……Many questins have t be settled and much remains t be dne in ur educatinal wrk.我們的教育工作中還有許多問題要解決,還有許多事情要去做。(2)連詞when/while/unless/althugh...+ding/dneWhen searching fr sme infrmatin,we can perate by tuching the screen.當查找一些信息時,我們可以通過觸摸屏來操作。
(3)cmpared with/t...與……比較Cmpared with the escaped driver,I am prud f what I did.與逃逸的司機相比,我為自己所做的事感到非常自豪。(4)be d...據(jù)說/報道/認為A bus full f passengers was reprted t have gne ut f cntrl n a highway suth f the city.據(jù)報道一輛滿載乘客的公共汽車在城南的一條公路上失去了控制。
