    寓言早在我國春秋戰(zhàn)國時代就已經(jīng)盛行。當時一些思想家把寓言當成辯論的手段。為了在政治主張上戰(zhàn)勝對方,為了闡明自已的觀點,互相責難,辯論,往往取材于古代神話、傳說、民間故事或諺語。通過藝術(shù)加工,用鮮明生動的抽象的代替議論進行激烈的爭辨斗爭。 世界各國的寓言作品也很多。世界最早的寓言集是《伊索寓言》,其它比較著名的寓言集或寓言較集中的作品有《克雷洛夫寓言》、《列那狐的故事》《百喻經(jīng)》《拉封丹寓言》 等。

    A fable is a fictinal stry abut animals, plants, frces f nature, etc. It always has a mral lessn.
    Mral teaches right and wrng, gd and bad.
    They are all fables.

He had nly ne axe, and he needed it t make his living. He sat dwn and began t cry. As he cried, a spirit appeared. She asked the man what was wrng. She listened t the wdcutter and felt srry fr him.But what culd she d t help?
    本句為過去進行時態(tài),句子結(jié)構(gòu)為“was/were+ding”,表示“過去某一時刻正在發(fā)生的事情”。
    get back意思是“找回;取回;恢復(fù)”,可以用get back sth.結(jié)構(gòu),也可以用get sth. back結(jié)構(gòu)。
    make/earn ne’s/a living意為“謀生”。He?had t?make?his?wn?living? when?he?was?ten?years ld.??
    while和as引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句的謂語是延續(xù)性動詞;when引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句的謂語既可以是延續(xù)性動詞,也可以是非延續(xù)性動詞。
    Suddenly she came up with a great idea. The spirit dve int the lake and brught back a gld axe. “Is this the axe yu lst?” asked the gd spirit. The man lked at the gld axe, knwing it wasn’t his. Because he was hnest, he admitted t the spirit that it wasn’t his axe. S the spirit dve int the water again and brught back a silver axe. Once again, the man said that was nt his axe.
    dive int 投入;潛入I saw a rabbit dive int the hle.我看見一只兔子鉆進洞里。
    bring back 帶回;還回;使記起All library bks must be brught back befre June 30.
    admit表示“向某人承認”要搭配介詞t。The student admitted his mistakes t his teacher.那個學(xué)生向老師承認了錯誤。admit t sb. that…意為“向某人承認……”。

    hnesty是hnest的名詞形式,意為“誠實”;dishnest為hnest的反義詞,意為“不誠實的”。
