Step 4 Listening and answering (Part 1)Play the recording for the class to listen and answer the following question.How does Danny feel?Answers: He feels sad.Step 5 Reading and answeringGet the class to read Part 1 and answer the questions in Let’s Do It! No. 1.1. How does Jenny feel?2. Is Danny hurt?3. Is Danny tired?4. How many donuts does Danny’s mother want him to eat?5. Is Danny’s mother right?Answers: 1. She feels happy. 2. No, he isn’t. 3. No, he isn’t. 4. Only one. 5. Yes, she is.Step 6 Reading and acting1. Get the class to read the conversation in Part 1 following the recording together.2. Act it out in pairs.Step 7 PresentationShow the class more pictures and learn more words of feelings and the new word laugh.Teach says: Look at the pictures. How does he/she feel?
Explain: feel high = feel happy feel down = feel sadStep 8 Reading and chanting1. Read the poem with the class. Make sure the students understand the poem. Explain it if necessary.2. What’s wrong? 怎么了? What’s wrong(with...)? (……)怎么了/出了什么故障? 通常用于以下情況: ①詢問病人的身體狀況 —What’s wrong with you, Tom? 湯姆,你怎么了? —I don’t feel well. 我覺得不舒服。 ②詢問對(duì)方有什么事或有什么情況 —Can you help me? 你能幫助我嗎? —Sure. Are you hurt?你受傷了嗎? hurt ① adj. 痛的;受傷的 Sometimes players may get hurt. 有時(shí),運(yùn)動(dòng)員也許會(huì)受傷。 ② vt. 傷害,使受傷 He hurts his arm. 他傷著了他的胳膊。 ③ vi. 疼痛 My legs hurt. 我腿疼。 ④ n. 傷害,痛苦 You can see the hurt in his eyes. 你能看到他眼中的傷痛。4. One donut a day is enough. 一天一個(gè)面包圈足夠了。 enough① adj. 足夠的。可作表語或定語,作定語修飾名詞時(shí)多位于名詞前,但time enough(足夠的時(shí)間)雖然已經(jīng)過時(shí),仍常用。The food is enough. There are only five people at the party.這些食物夠了,只有五個(gè)人來聚會(huì)。 They have enough food for them to eat. 他們有足夠的食物吃。 ② adv. 足夠地。修飾形容詞或副詞時(shí)應(yīng)位于形容詞或副詞之后。 Danny is strong enough, so he can carry the bag easily enough. 丹尼足夠強(qiáng)壯,所以他能足夠容易地背動(dòng)那個(gè)袋子。 ③ pron. 足夠 The children got enough to eat. 孩子們有足夠的吃的。5.
