Unit 5 Fun Facts一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容與分析1. Reading for knowledge本課以趣聞的形式，向?qū)W生們呈現(xiàn)了一篇綜合了本單元語言知識點的短文，短文主要講的是人們在觀看馬戲團(tuán)動物表演，在享受表演帶來的歡聲笑語時，應(yīng)該思考一下這樣對動物是否公平。2. Thinking tasks本部分在學(xué)生閱讀理解的基礎(chǔ)上，以對比填表的方式進(jìn)一步來理解動物，讓學(xué)生們意識到動物真正的需求，激發(fā)生的內(nèi)心感觸，同時也可檢測學(xué)生對本單元語言知識的掌握情況。Sentence bank是用來給學(xué)生提供語言支持的。Look them up是本部分出現(xiàn)的一些比較難的詞組，學(xué)生可以查閱詞典了解它們的意思。二、課前準(zhǔn)備1. 準(zhǔn)備教學(xué)視頻，教學(xué)掛同和教學(xué)課件。2. 準(zhǔn)備本課的詞語卡片。3. 準(zhǔn)備獎勵貼等，進(jìn)行學(xué)習(xí)效果的評價。三、初學(xué)步驟與建議Step 1: Warm-up/Revision1)師生問好。2)圖片游戲熱身。教師出示各種動物的圖片，讓學(xué)生邊看邊舉手回答，說對的學(xué)生，教師發(fā)一枚獎勵貼，為本課的學(xué)習(xí)做熱身。Step 2: Presentation1)教師播放馬戲團(tuán)表演的視頻。讓同學(xué)們仔細(xì)觀看，然后說出看到的動物。T: Do you like circus shows?S: Yes.T: What animals did you see in the video?S: A monkey. / A tiger. / An elephant.教師帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生說一說視頻中的動物有哪些。2)教師請同學(xué)們打開書，快速掃讀，圈出短文中的動物單詞，自己讀一讀。然后教師播放短文錄音，讓學(xué)生兩人一組聽音，模仿讀單詞。3)教師再次播放視頻，讓學(xué)生說出動物們正在表演的項目。T: Please look and say what they are doing now.S: They are playing with each other. / It is jumping over a fire. / They are dancing. / It is riding a bicycle. ...教師發(fā)獎勵貼給說對的學(xué)生。4)Guess where they are.(教師用PPT出示三組圖片，同與種動物在不同的場合的情境)T: Let’s guess. Which is good for animals?6)學(xué)生以小組為單位，說出自己的答案，教師評價，對表現(xiàn)突出的小組獎勵。Step 3: Practice教師將本課一些詞語打亂順序，用PPT閃爍的形式，隨機(jī)展示，讓學(xué)生邊看邊起立讀出詞語。讓學(xué)生以組為單位，輪流進(jìn)行，看哪個組說的詞語數(shù)量多。教師和學(xué)生共同給出評價。Step 4: Language use組織學(xué)生給下列動物分類：elephant, pigeon, seal, carp, grass carp, whale, parrot, lion。In the sky: ______________________________________________On the land: ______________________________________________In the sea: ______________________________________________In the river: ______________________________________________Step 5: Assessment1)課堂教學(xué)過程中的評價。(1) 教師可將本單元所學(xué)的動詞短語圖片作為評價丁具，如寫郵件、洗衣服、拖地等。(2) 教師應(yīng)注重對學(xué)生所學(xué)的知識、技能、課堂表現(xiàn)等進(jìn)行鼓勵性的評價。(3) 教師應(yīng)體現(xiàn)師生、生生（包括學(xué)生個人和小組）的多元主體的評價。2)教師指導(dǎo)學(xué)生完成《活動手冊》中的相關(guān)內(nèi)容，并進(jìn)行評價。Step 6: Extended Activities讓學(xué)生閱讀下文后回答問題：Best Places to See Wildlife Animals in NatureIn the United States, national parks are the best place to start. For viewing sea animals, the best places include the Channel Islands off the coast of California. The islands are surrounded by sea lions, seals, gray whales and humpback whales. There are also a lot of tide pools that house creatures such as sea urchins and anemones.Another area great for water animals is Glacier Bay in Alaska. Humpback whales and sea lions are in abundance off shore and on land bears and moose are often times available for viewing.Other national parks for best wildlife viewing are Denali National Park in Alaska, Glacier National park in Montana.
