Riley retied her skate laces and cruched next t Craig.“Get n my back,” she said,and Craig did.Riley started skating,but Craig didn't feel like he was flying.It just felt like a shaking piggyback ride.
“Yu're t heavy,” Riley said.“I can't g fast when I'm carrying yu.” She skated slwly back t the bench.Craig gt ff her back.“Even if yu culd g fast,I wuldn't be flying.” he said sadly.“I need skates t fly.”
Riley didn't say anything n the walk hme,but a few days later she asked Craig if he wanted t g skating.
“T watch?” he asked.“N,t skate,” she said cheerfully.“Mm and I fund a pair f my ld skates.They might fit yu.” The skates were a little big,but when Riley stuffed newspaper in the tes,they fit.Craig culdn't stp smiling.He didn't want t take them ff,but he had t s he culd walk t the lake.Riley and Liz went with him.They carried their hckey sticks and a wden chair.Hardly had they gt t the lake when Craig put his skates back n and Riley helped him nt the ice.
