As I write this, a Bb Seger sng is stuck in my head. It’s been playing n repeat ever since I heard it in a mvie. I hated it a lt when it first came ut years ag, and I still really hate it nw. Interestingly, earwrms aren’t all bad. Research indicates that they can enhance ur ability t recall past events, as the repetitive nature f the sng strengthens ur memry.

Alternatively, distracting yurself with anther meldy r engaging in activities that require fcus can als be effective. Chewing gum r eating smething crunchy may interrupt the sng playing in yur head. Despite these strategies, smetimes the best apprach is t simply accept the presence f the earwrm and let it fade away naturally. In my case, trying t actively rid myself f the sng nly made it mre persistent. It seems patience is key when dealing with these stubbrn musical guests in ur minds.

A.A type f insect that affects hearing.B.A sng that gets stuck in yur head.
C.A medical cnditin related t the ears.D.An element missing in a sng.
33.Which f the fllwing statement is true abut earwrms?
A.They cannt be cntrlled r stpped.B.They indicate underlying illness.
C.They nly ccur in certain individuals.D.They are nrmal phenmena.
34.What benefit can be expected f earwrms?
A.T enhance memry recall f earlier incidents.
B.T increase musical creativity and imaginatin.
C.T expand penness t new experiences.
    D.T imprve fcus and cncentratin.
35.Hw des the authr feel abut earwrms?
    A.Cncerned and wrried.B.Scientific but negative.

When I was in middle schl, my scial studies teacher asked me t enter a writing cntest. I said n withut thinking. I did nt lve writing. My family came frm Brazil, s English was nly my secnd language. Writing was s difficult and painful fr me that my teacher had allwed me t present my paper n the sinking f the Titanic by acting ut a play, where I played all the parts. N ne laughed harder than he did.

My stry wuld cme straight frm the hrse’s muth. Nt a brilliant idea, but funny; and unlikely t be anyne else’s chice.
What did the hrse think, as he sped thrugh the night? Did he get tired? Have dubts? Did he want t quit? I sympathized immediately. I gt tired. I had dubts. I wanted t quit. But, like Revere’s hrse, I kept ging. I wrked hard. I checked my spelling. I asked my lder sister t crrect my grammar. I checked ut a half dzen bks n Paul Revere frm the library. I even read a few f them.
When I handed in the essay t my teacher, he read it, laughed ut lud, and said, “Great. Nw, write it again.” I wrte it again, and again and again. When I finally finished it, the thught f winning had given way t the enjyment f writing. If I didn’t win, I wuldn’t care.

故填a。
故填was hnred。
