As they were entering, an elderly man was exiting. We walked back t the entrance and I cmmented t him I hped he had arrangements t get where he needed t g. He was ging t wait 30 minutes fr the bus. I asked where he was ging and it turned ut that he was heading t the same twn as I was, just a 15-minute drive away. I ffered t drive him and he gratefully accepted. Accrding t Dr Badiru, farmers need fertiliser and ther agrchemicals like pesticides. Insecticides and thers t slve the prblem f pests. All f these will cst much mney. Besides that, we have the prblem f insecurity that farmers are being chased away frm the farm.
Dr Badiru als called n the gvernment t address insecurity, saying farmers are afraid f ging t farm. He, wh gave the advice while speaking with jurnalists in Ibadan, urged individuals t embrace backyard farming t reduce the spending n sme fd items.
